Volunteer Opportunities

Being a Kidney Clothes volunteer means joining a dynamic and diverse group of people who share a common purpose – to make a difference in the lives of others. We invite you to join our team of volunteers who are making an important contribution to improving the lives of people with kidney disease.

Volunteering is a positive and rewarding experience. It encourages creativity and personal growth in a respectful and supportive environment. Also, we need you! Volunteers make our work possible – from funding vital research, to advocacy, to promoting greater understanding and awareness of kidney health and organ donation.

Whether you’re in high school, a full-time employee, a working parent, or newly retired, there are opportunities available to suit your particular needs and circumstances.

High school students can get volunteer hours with Kidney Clothes

Kidney Clothes is partnering with students to host clothing drives and support people in the community living with kidney disease.  In exchange for hosting their own Kidney Clothes Drive, students will receive hours towards the 40 community involvement hours they need to graduate.

Hosting a clothing drive is easy. Students spread the word that they are participating and ask people for donations of their unwanted clothing and cloth-based items (like outerwear, shoes and bedding). The clothing collected will be picked up by Kidney Clothes and repurposed into funds that The Kidney Foundation of Canada uses to support people in the community living with kidney disease.

If you or someone you know wants to earn volunteer hours and help people in our community, email us for more information.
